Booking Your Appointment
We can’t wait to meet you in our boutique and want you to feel totally at home. You can either book an appointment with us by email or telephone. We love to see you virtually before your visit, Pre visit consultations are run through zoom or by telephone where we will find out in depth about your wedding and style. Our standard appointments are 1.5hrs with a £30 charge for a Saturday, or £10 for a weekday. Gown retry appointments are 45 mins with a £10 charge. This charge is fully redeemable against any dress purchase. Charges are taken at pre visit consultations to confirm your appointment.
Choosing Your Gown
After our virtual consultation we already have a great idea on your style and carefully choose a selection of styles for you to fall in love with. During this pandemic, we allow the bride and one special guest in store and encourage you to video call your nearest and dearest so they don’t miss out on the moment you find your wedding gown.
Styled To Perfection
Once you have found your gown we will take measurements and work with you to decide on the optimum size and take a confirmation payment. If you plan on changing weight we can arrange for you to be re-measured 6 months before your wedding. You can also book a 1-1 accessories styling session for all those finishing touches to your perfect dress.
Fit For Fabulousness
When your gown arrives and the final payment is made, it is time to start the fitting process with The Sewing Rooms. All you need to do is book an appointment, take your shoes with you and we take care of the rest. Most brides have between 2-3 fittings and at the final fitting, one of your guest will be shown how to help you dress. Payment for alterations is due at your first fitting.
Time For The Big Day
Once you are completely happy with your gown, it can be stored until you are ready to collect it. Every gown is carefully steamed and checked before you collect it. If you are travelling abroad we can arrange to have your gown packed in a case you provide.
After Party
We know how important your wedding dress is to you. At Gillian Roberts, we like to treat each bride as if they were royalty and it is our aim that your journey with us is trouble free. Gillian Roberts offers a cleaning and boxing service to preserve your gown after your big day. Prices start from £95 for this service. This includes minor repairs, cleaning and packing in beautiful handmade boxes by The Empty Box Company.
